Mubarak and Sarkozy to inaugurate Union for the Mediterranean

President Mubarak and French President Nicolas Sarkozy will address the inaugural session of the Union for the Mediterranean summit which will be held in Paris on July 13.

An Elysee Palace source said Presidents Mubarak and Sarkozy will also hold a joint press conference at the winding up of the summit, adding that President Sarkozy will have tete a tete talks with President Mubarak on the day preceding the summit.

The source said the summit will be attended by 44 states and a number of international and regional organizations such as the United Nations, the Arab League, the African Union, the Arab Maghreb Union, the Gulf Cooperation Council and the World Bank.
