Egypt: UN strategy for combating terrorism marred with defects

The United Nations strategy for combating terrorism is marred with defects, said Egypt's delegate Ambassador Maged Abdel-Fattah.

Delivering Egypt's statement at a UN General Assembly on Thursday, Abdel-Fattah said that the strategy has failed to achieve the hoped-for results in the past two years.

He underlined the need to focus on improving the UN performance by avoiding duplicating efforts.
