Egypt urges new IAEA head to focus on rendering ME nuclear-free

Egypt called Friday 3/7/2009 on the newly-elected director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency to focus on freeing the Middle East from all nuclear weapons.

Addressing a meeting of the IAEA's 35-member board of governors, Egyptian ambassador to Austria Ihab Fawzi called on Yukiya Amano, the IAEA's new chief, to discuss all new initiatives with all member states.
