Egypt's efforts to solve the problem of Palestinian captives held by Israel are continuing, the foreign minister stressed Wednesday 18/11/2009.

Ahmed Abul-Gheit, at a meeting with Issa Qaraqea, the Palestinian Minister of Detainees' Affairs, said the detainees issue is an Egyptian priority.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hossam Zaki said Abul-Gheit praised the steadfastness of families of the Palestinian captives who are giving away their freedom for the liberation of their lands.

Qaraqea posted Abul-Gheit on the conditions of the detainees in Israeli jails and the Israeli atrocities they have to endure, Zaki added.
