For the 1st time, Egypt to host “Arab Shield-1” next Nov. 3

Egypt will host the joint “Arab Shield-1” drills for the first time, slated for November 3-16, at Mohamed Naguib Military Base and air and navy drills areas in the Mediterranean.
Participating Arab forces from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan have started to flock to several air bases and navy zones to take part in the drills.
Forces from Morocco and Lebanon will attend the drills as observers.
The drills fall within the framework of promoting military cooperation between Egypt and the sisterly Arab states to enhance the combat potentials of the Armed Forces and promote military relations to support security and stability efforts in the region.
